Life Stuff

Hey all,

Well it has been a while since I posted an update, so here goes.

School is going well, but there are some complications, because of the progressive weakness in my hands I find it hard to use a pen/pencil for any length of time so I have registered with the disabilities office so I can write my tests and exams on a computer... which is good, except that it has to be done at the disabities office which is across campus and one of my profs likes to use bell ringers which makes doing things in the office a little more difficult. However, my prof has agreed to bring the specimens to the disabities office after the test and I can write it then. So at least accomidations are being made, though they arn't always convienient.

In other news, I have a walker which is worth its weight in gold. It has a seat and a basket and folds up easily. The only issue with it is that it doesn't fit into one of my classes easily, but I'm finding ways around that. Overall I've been trying to come up with my own adaptation stratigies and it is going well... though somedays the fact that I have als hits me like a tonne of bricks.

I try not to let it stop me, but every so often I give into it. I just hope that I can finish school before things get much worse. I used to draw and paint and now I can't hold onto a pencil or a paintbrush long enough to accomplish anything, and I really bums me out. I really want there to be significant advances in medical research before this disease takes anything else away from me.

Sorry this turned into such a depressing post, but I do have a treat coming up for you guys. I have a Jehova's Witness stopping by, and she just gave me the new copy of the Watchtower with a cover story "5 lies about God exposed." I thought it would be fun to go through each of them, so look forward to that.

Until next time,
DD
